Benjamin Netanyahu Speech: Israel Accepts Demilitarized Palestinian State

Israel Palestinian Flag For Peace on New Demilitarized Palestinian StateU.S. President Barack Obama welcomed the speech by the Prime Minister (PM) of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu about the establishment of Palestinian state, Obama also calling it an important step forward.

In his speech, Netanyahu expressed support to the idea of that establishment of Palestinian State. While previously, even though Obama has been urged, PM Netanyahu reluctant to give his commitment on this matter.

"The president is committed to two states, a Jewish State of Israel and an independent Palestine, in the historic homeland of both peoples," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement. "He believes this solution can and must ensure both Israel's security and the fulfillment of the Palestinians' legitimate aspirations for a viable state, and he welcomes Prime Minister Netanyahu's endorsement of that goal."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lifted the shroud from his diplomatic endgame on Sunday night, saying at the BESA Center at Bar-Ilan University that he would support a Palestinian State if he received international guarantees that the new Palestinian State would be demilitarized, and if the Palestinians accepted Israel as the Jewish homeland.

"If we receive this guarantee regarding demilitarization and Israel's security needs, and if the Palestinians recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people, then we will be ready in a future peace agreement to reach a solution where a demilitarized Palestinian state exists alongside the Jewish state," Netanyahu said and get applause from the crowd who attend the event, this words become his first time he has said he would accept a Palestinian state.

But Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah expressed outrage and shock over Netanyahu's call for a demilitarized Palestinian state and his demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

The officials said the speech was much worse than they had expected. They also warned that Netanyahu's policies would trigger a new intifada.

U.N. Will Investigate Possible War Crimes In Israel Military Attacks

U.N. Investigation on Israel Military Attack, War Crimes

Investigation conducted by the United Nations over the military attack of Israel during the conflict in Gaza four months ago, have produced strong criticism to Israel. That state answerable over nine shooting incidents in the building owned by the United Nations, which caused some of the catastrophe and destruction of assets belonging to the U.N.

Some of the findings in the report, among other: Israel responsible in six cases which caused the death of staff members and civilians; there are no military activities of the UN building; in certain levels, Israel has conducted military failure; Israeli military does not provide adequate early warning when the attack occurred. In addition, the report also recommends to continue the investigation of the possibility of war crimes and all the criminal allegations made in Gaza and southern Israel.

Nevertheless, Israel Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, reject the reports and said that the reports was not clear. Ehud Barak even accused Hamas hiding their combatant between civilians and installations belonging to the U.N. "Our armed forces have the most moral in the world," he specified.

Israel Air Force Still Attack Southern Gaza

Israel unleash air attacks against the Hamas smuggling tunnels in southern Gaza, on Wednesday (6 / 5), several hours after they stated that Palestinian guerrilla troops shoot mortar to the country.

Israel Air Force attacked three tunnel on the border of Rafah with Egypt. Israel military said, this attack is conducted as answers to the rocket and mortar firing which continues to the south of Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Medical sources said, four people experience mild injury in those Israel's air attacks. "This morning, five mortar bombs strike a field in urban areas Shaar Hanegev in the Negev, west Israel. There are no victims or damage were reported," the military said in a statement.

Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, The armed wing of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, mentioned, they were firing mortars toward Israel troops who had attack the central Gaza Strip.

U.S. President Barack Obama will visit Israel and the West Bank in June

U.S. President, Barack Obama will make a visit to Israel and Palestine on June. According to a senior U.S. diplomat, this visits will be a part of a series of Obama visit to France to do a meeting with President Nicolas Sarkozy.

One month earlier, Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, was pay a visit to the U.S. This visit will be done faster than scheduled, said the diplomat, emphasized Obama's commitment to seek solutions in the Palestinian-Israel conflict.

Obama visit to Israel is believed to be a matter of Israel-Palestinian peace process and the establishment of Palestine as a state to end the conflicts. In Israel, Obama will also discuss Iran's nuclear program with Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

On the other hand, U.S. officials said that Obama did not oppose the involvement of Hamas in the Palestinian government. But the U.S. still do not want Hamas to use violence and recognize Israel.

He adds, the U.S. also request that Salam Fayyad has been submit resignation as Palestinian prime minister, to return to the government and lead the future Palestinian government and become a Palestinian finance minister.

A Palestinian official, said soon President Mahmoud Abbas will likely ask Fayyad to formed a new government. 'The Forming of this new government without the participation of Hamas,' he said.

Israel Still Attack Gaza With Some Air Strikes

Israel have not stopped yet attacking Gaza. Saturday 7 march 2009 local time, This Zionist Country still conducted air attacks to Gaza. Israel said those attacks made as a responses to Hamas's rocket attack one day before.
An Israeli military official claimed that their air forces successfully destroyed two tunnels in the southern of Gaza border and one place that used for weapons storage in Gaza City.
'In every attack, each strike always identified,' that official said, while said that the air attacks is a responses to six rocket launched to Israel since Saturday morning.

According to Israeli military, more than hundred rockets, mortar, and misiles has been launched to Israel by Palestinian militants in Gaza, since the cease-fire announcement on January 18.
As known, Israel attacks some time ago have been killed thousands of Palestinian civilian lives.

International Amnesty asserts, Israeli troops conduct war crimes with the 'demolition without reason' of the houses of Palestinian in 22 days aggression in Gaza. Amnesty also stated that Israel used the method which can be categorized as a war crimes.
