Four ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet Has Submitted Formal Resignation

Four ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet / Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu, Minister of State Institution Empowerment Taufik Effendy, Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Watjik, State Minister for Cooperatives and SMEs Suryadharma Ali and State Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions Lukman Edy, Has submitted a formal resignation.

"The letters from the ministers had been received and I had reported it verbally to President Yudhoyono," said State Secretary Hatta Rajasa after a birthday celebration of President Yudhoyono in Puri Cikeas Bogor, Wednesday.

The ministers was withdrawn because they had been elected as the legislature in last April elections and the Law forbids them to double post. According to Hatta, President Yudhoyono has invited the ministers to determine their choice whether remains as a minister or a member of House Of Representative.

"The Law is set so. But later when the President still require their energy and thought, the President shall submit a separate request," said Hatta. The State Secretary explained the minister ad interim for the vacant ministerial positions will be appointed to serve until a new cabinet is formed.

Based on the results of elections in 2009, there were six ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet elected to the legislature, the Minister of Youth and Sports Adhyaksa Dault from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) electoral district of Central Sulawesi, Minister of State Institution Empowerment Taufik Effendy from Democratic Party, electoral districts of South Kalimantan .

Furthermore, the Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik from Democratic Party, electoral district of Bali, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Freddy Numberi from Democratic Party, electoral district of Papua, Minister of State for the Acceleration of Development of Disadvantaged Regions Lukman Edy from the National Awakening Party (PKB) Riau electoral district, and the Minister of State Cooperatives and SMEs Suryadharma Ali from the United Development Party (PPP) electoral district of West Java.

Because members of the House of Representatives will be inaugurated on October 1, 2009, the ministers who was elected as a representative must determine their position the latest on October 1, 2009.

Adhyaksa Dault and Freddy Numberi was previously chose to let go of their opportunities to become representatives of the people. Both of them had choose to continue the position as ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet until the term ends on October 20, 2009.

Quick Count Results: SBY-Boediono To Win Election With 50 Percent Plus Of Votes

SBY-Boediono Wins ElectionQuick count results from four survey institutions shows that SBY-Boediono pair still superior with the acquisition more than 50 percent of votes compared to pairs of Mega-Prabowo and JK-Wiranto.

When the quick count results are consistent with the calculation result from Election Commission (KPU), then likely 2009 presidential election will take one round only with the pair of SBY-Boediono as the winner.

From four institutions that monitored Kompas.com until 15:00 o'clock, the Indonesian Survey Institute / Lembaga Survei Indonesia (LSI) shows SBY-Boediono win the election with 60.68 percent of the vote.

TV stations Rejects To Broadcast Megawati-Prabowo's Campaign Ads

Some Indonesian TV stations rejects to broadcast one of series of campaign advertisements from Megawati-Prabowo campaign team. A Megawati-Prabowo campaign team points there is interference from the authorities behind the rejection of their TV ads.

The authorities mentioned before are the President SBY and his campaign team. Coincidentally President SBY is also a candidate for 2009 Presidential election, so easily can be associated with the issue of that prohibition matter.

President SBY's campaign team chairman Hatta Radjasa told reporters at a media conference at Bravo Media Centre (BMC), Teuku Umar street No. 51, Jakarta, "Hahaha.... You could ask about that to the TV stations themselves, are there any interventions? How could, in these era, TV stations obey to intervention," Hatta said no party or individual could exercise censorship against mass media, including TV channels.

Megawati-Prabowo's campaign team secretary-general, Fadli Zon said that, all television stations refused to show the ads. Mega-Prabowo's team was suspicious, rejection was due to the intervention from authorities so that the TV station is not showing their ads.

Indosiar is the only TV station willing to show the ads. The reason is because the materials from this ads already passed a censorship regulation from National Censorship institutions.

In the dialogue campaign, Boediono asks people not to fear against himself whom often labeled as pursuivant of neoliberal economic. Boediono rates this labelling as a form of negative campaign because he is always encouraging populist economic.

Final Result Of Indonesia Election 2009: KPU announced the Acquisition chairs the House of Representatives

Indonesia's General Electoral Commission / Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU), On Saturday evening announced the final result of legislative election and set a revenue seat House of Representatives (DPR RI) from nine political parties in the 2009 legislative elections that passed the Parliamentary Threshold / PT 2.5 percent of the valid votes nationally.

Democrat Party with ordinal number 31 was successfully achieved 21.703.137 votes (20,85%), 148 seats in the House of Representatives, 26.43% from the total of 560 seats available.

Meanwhile, Golkar Party was able to reach 15.037.757 votes (14,45%) or 108 seats (19.29%).

Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) obtained 14.600.091 votes (14,03%) or 93 seats (16.61%).

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) reach 8.206.955 votes (7,88%) or 59 seats (10.54%).

National Mandate Party (PAN), 6.254.580 votes (6,01%) or 42 seats (7.50%).

And Then, United Development Party (PPP), 5.533.214 votes (5,32%) or 39 seats (6.96%).

Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), 4.646.406 votes (4,46%) or 30 seats (5.36%).

National Awakening Party (PKB), 5.146.122 votes (4,94%) or 26 seats (4.64%).

and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) obtained 3.922.870 votes (3,77 %), 15 seats (2.68%).

According to KPU, from totaly Eligible voters was 171 million, the number of valid votes counted was 104,099,785 while the number of invalid votes was 17,488,581.

As the poll results shows no single majority, a coalition is needed to field candidate in the presidential polls on July 8.

Earlier, Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who is the chairman of Golkar Party has declared to pair with a former general Wiranto, chairman of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

LSI Quick Count Results: Democrat Party lead the House of Representative Election in Indonesia

Democrat Party based on the quick count made by Lembaga Survei Indonesia or Indonesian Survey Institution (LSI) and Metro TV Election Center at 17.00 PM Western Indonesian Standard Times (WIB) lead the House of Representative Election.

Indonesian Survey Institution which was monitoring by TV-One, one of the major Indonesian Television said base on the 16.05 % from totaly 171.068.667 of Indonesian Citizens’ whose have their right to vote, Partai Demokrat or Democrat Party get 20% of votes. Followed by Partai Golongan Karya or Golkar Party (The Party of the Functional Groups) 16,61%, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan or PDIP (The Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle) 15,10%, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera or The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) 8,73% and Partai Amanat Nasional or National Mandate Party (PAN) 6,48 %. The Resurrection Party (PKB) get 5,7%, Coalition of Islamic Party of Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) 4,67%, and two newly party of andGerindra get 4,06% and Hanura 3,4%.

Meanwhile the quick count conducted by Indonesian Television of Metro TV Election Center also stated that the Democrat Party led the election. But the second position put the PDIP as the second largest voter, followed by Golkar Party. Metro TV Quick count election said that the Democrat Party get 18,9%, PDIP 15,5%, Golkar 14,4%, PKS 7,4%, PKB 6,3%, PPP 5,8%, PAN 5,6%, Gerindra 4,9% and Hanura 4,2%.

Quick Count Results Of 2009 Indonesian Election

We are waiting for Quick Count Results Of Indonesian Election 2009. Based on experience from previous election, Quick Count results can represent the actual conditions that occur. The General Elections Commission (KPU) has certified 10 local and two foreign survey institutions to carry out quick counts for the legislative and presidential elections.

Among these, the local institutions are Lembaga Survey Indonesia (the Indonesian Survey Institute), LP3ES (Institute of Economic and Social Studies and Development), Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (Indonesian Survey Circle), Jaringan Isu Publik (Public Issues Network), Pusat Studi Kebijakan Publik (Public Policy Study Centre), Pusat Studi Nusantara (Indonesian Study Center), Jaringan Suara Indonesia (Indonesian Voice Network), Lembaga Survei Nasional (National Survey Institute), Cirus Surveyors Group and Puskaptis (Strategic Development and Policy Study Center).

The two foreign institutions are the US-based National Democratic Institute (NDI), and European Union Delegates.

Besides certifying quick count survey institutions, the KPU also certified 24 local and seven foreign observer institutions, as well as 16 local and two foreign general survey institutions.
