Doctors strike back

The week I have just finished was in Salamanca but at a different hotel; it was still nice but too small really.

This was probably the easiest week ever. On Sunday because of the Doctors not being able to attend the program until 6pm then Richard's speech and then the orientation there was no time to do anything on Sunday.
Monday we had another easy day, due to an excursion that had been planned by the sponsor so we got to do a tour and get to know some details about the city itself.
Then the remainder the program continued as normal luckily, as I really wanted to get back into the swing of work after the break I just had.

The Doctors had been with us before in October with the exception of about 5 of them, so it was nice to see them again and catch up briefly. The challenge for me as usual was keeping it fresh and interesting, we also had several veterans returning to which is always nice to see.

I had worked on a new presentation about lying and it was good to actually put it into practise, I'm pleased to say I also managed to work out who was lying which shows it does work if you know what to look for.
I also used a script that Emma (a good friend) had wrote for me, and after some quick editing we performed it as a theatre piece and everyone loved it! Excellent!
Check out the WEBSITE

I spent several hours editing the photos making a special panoramic one and uploading them, hope you enjoy looking back on them.
As usual the week went very well and Marisa did a great job (this was a hard week for her personally, yet she didn't show it).

As usual the photos can be found by clicking the picture below

Vaughan Town - Salamanca - Program 153

There has been a mistake made which means the next program will be done in Zamora.
So yet another hotel to check out, I just hope that is the ONLY problem we encounter.

Whilst you were all relaxing at home, I am back here, washing, repacking, sorting out some travel arrangements for China's visit and I have just spent 1 and half hours in the dentists chair whilst she tore mouth apart, not pleasant :(
Also cost a fortune, to insult to injury.
I cant speak properly, eat, drink or even kiss, YES POOR ME!!!

Quick and Dirty

I had a tooth repaired today. My mouth is still numb. I think I'm done with the dentist until February and my next cleaning. Yea.

My leg still hurts, but I can stretch it out a little more now. Saw my crush this morning. I have a hard time looking right at him now, because I think he's going to figure out I have a crush on him. And I would be embarrassed beyond any embarrassment I have ever felt in life to this point. I would probably sink right into the floor—never to be seen again.

I wish I could afford a full-time personal trainer—not having the aerobics class anymore makes so hard to figure out what to do everyday.

My mouth is still numb. It's driving me crazy.

The vice-presidential debate is tonight. This should be a hoot. Palin will be rambling on and on, and God knows what's going to come out of Biden's mouth. Should make for some interesting TV though.

I don't have much else to say at the time.

I Feel More Present

I finally got my tooth fixed yesterday. It is so much nicer without that sharp-edged tooth. Anyway, my face was numb for close to five hours. Why is it that the numbing seems to get number after you leave the dentist's office? And my breath had that wonderful I've-just-been-to-the-dentist's-office aroma. Gak. That's really hard to get rid of. Today, it feels tender. But not sharp. Yea.

I got some of my meds changed. I feel better already. I got rid of the Lasix altogether and made a switch in my thyroid medication. I now take it like I did a few years ago. The muscle cramps have subsided. I feel a little more focused (not much, just a little). I guess it's that I feel more lucid. I feel more present. I haven't felt this well in a while.

I did 45 minutes on the treadmill and 25 minutes on the bike today. If nothing else, my endurance is remarkable. I'm back to eating tons of fruit. I just love it.

OK. i don't know what else to say.

Bugging the Snot out Me

I went back to the elliptical this morning. I noticed that it was much more difficult after not having done it for a while. I also increased the intensity a bit. And that made it harder, too. I'm feeling better today, despite waking up a little on the rough side.

Fall seems to be setting in around here. A funny thing happens in the fall in Morgantown. I noticed it at the gym this morning. Everyone starts wearing blue and gold T-shirts that identify them as a Mountaineer. I did see one tie-dyed T-shirt that said West Virginia University Mountaineers on the front—which was a little odd because the colors were every other color except blue and gold. But football season will be starting soon. And when it does, this town will be turned upside down.

One of my fillings came out sometime over the last day or so. Maybe it was this morning. But it's bugging the snot out me—I can't keep my tongue out of it. I just called my dentist. With luck I can get in soon. When it rains it pours. I think I must've swallowed it, too.

I'll be seeing the nutritionist tomorrow. I had to cancel the Monday meeting because I was so sick. I'll let you know how that goes. I really need help with my diet. It's only thing I can figure that keeping me from losing weight. I know I've got to eating more than I think I am.

OK. Another busy day.

OMG!!!

Well I went back to the dentist for round 2, well really to have my stitches removed. But whilst there he decides to start poking around, and drilling randomly at my teeth.

After an hour I get to leave again with no feeling in one side of my face, why do they do it??

But whilst there something strange happened - he said I needed to get an xray to check the state of my teeth - and to drink this liquid - so I did; and look!!!

I always knew that inside of me there was a fit person dying to get out!!

Words of Wisdom

My wisdom tooth has broken and needed to be "extracted" - torn from my head more like!!!

What I hoped would be a 2 minute "lets see what we have here then" operation - turned into a 1:30 hour tug a war.

Well 10 stitches later and 80 euros lighter I managed to leave the dentist - however I now look and talk like Stallone! Didn't see that coming.

Why do they do two things, firstly assure you it wont hurt; it always bloody hurts - especially having to pay and secondly talk to you when you have more instruments in your mouth than the philharmonic orchestra?! Lucky for me oooOOOOWWW is the same in ANY language!

What it did give me time to do what think about a few sketch ideas for my next Vaughan town; boy I'm sad!
Well, what else was I supposed to do when every time I opened my eyes different implement's were inserted into my mouth, the dentist himself started off looking quiet normal, but by the time he had finished and I opened my eyes he was wearing protective glasses, and welders mask, a smock, gloves - and I'm sure he had American Footballers shoulder pads on too!

and worse still I have to return in a week! - wish me luck!
