Attorney General: Hartono Tanoesoedibjo & Yusril Ihza Mahendra Will Be Arrested

Police HQ Calls On Eight Of KPK's chairpersons For PT Masaro Cases Investigation

"They (KPK) have postponed the date of 8 tomorrow (September 8, 2009)," said head of the Criminal detective (Kabareskrim) of Police Headquarters, Komjen Susno Duadji at the Police Headquarters, Jalan Trunojoyo, South Jakarta, Monday (7/9/2009).

According to him, the Commission's chairpersons will be asked for information as a witnesses. "That's the reports from Antasari about Masaro's dispute. That's to be done. We just Call them, it's usual. Called as a witness. The 4 chairpersons demanded to clarify," he said.

Human Right Watch (HRW) Letter To President SBY Concerning On Corruption Eradication

Human Right Watch (HRW)
Human Rights Watch (HRW) as the international observer organization for human rights issued a petition for the Indonesia's president SBY. One of them is about immediate action concerning about completing of corruption Bill legislation.

"We urge you to: Act immediately to ensure the National Parliament enacts legislation to renew the KPK court, without eroding its authority or independence. If necessary issue an appropriate executive order until legislation can be passed;" as quoted from the content of petition in official site of HRW.

Human Right Watch also urged President SBY to perform emergency measures to save the Tipikor Court. Including to publish the Perpu (Law Replacement Regulation).

The United States-based NGOs also ask SBY to be investigate the case thoroughly allegations of corruption inside the Indonesia's military, police and parliament, including the use of anti-corruption and money laundering legislation to fight corruption in the forestry sector.

"Anti-corruption efforts should be broadened to be effective. Sustained, rigorous efforts to root out corruption in the police, judiciary and military will help stem the loss of tax revenues from lucrative natural resources, especially the forestry and plantation sectors," as mentioned in the content of the letter.

The existence of the Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) is also supported by Human Right Watch. They assess, KPK existence can be as well if supported by the Court of Tipikor that also working well. "These include maintaining the number of ad-hoc judges of 3 people."

Roh Moo-Hyun, South Korean Ex-President Is Dead In An Apparent Suicide

Roh Moo-Hyun Ex President South KoreaSouth Korea Ex-President, Roh Moo-hyun (62) have been killed simply because of suicide after a jump from the cliffs behind the house in the remote areas. Corruption scandals that Alleged to Roh Moo-hyun has been making desperate end of his life in a way that is very tragic.

According to his lawyer, Moon Jae-in, Roh was hiking in Bongha village when he threw himself off a steep cliff around 6:40 a.m. Saturday 23/5/2009, he said Roh left a suicide note.

In a short suicide note addressed to his family, Mr Roh described his life as "difficult" and apologised for making "too many people suffer". "Too many people are suffering because of me," he wrote, according to South Korean media.

"Don't be too sad. Isn't life and death all part of nature? Don't be sorry," the official news agency, Yonhap, quoted the note as saying.

"Please cremate me. And please leave a small tombstone near home. I've long thought about that."

Roh was taken to Busan National University hospital at around 08.15, but already can not be saved again. He declared dead at 09.30 with a gash in the head.

Roh Moo-Hyun, Former President of South Korea Found Dead (Suicide suspected)

Roh Moo-Hyun served as president of South Korea from 2003 until 2008.

Antasari Azhar Case: Police will reveal evidence In The Courtroom

Indonesia Police Headquarter, Polda Metro JayaR.I. Police still feel confident will be able to reveal the murder cases of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen with Antasari Azhar as the main suspect. Metro Jaya Regional Police Headquarters claims to have strong evidence related to the involvement of all the suspects.

Iriawan.

KPK Chairman Antasari Azhar Defined As A Suspect

Chairman of Corruption Eradication Commission / Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Antasari Azhar defined as a suspect in the murder case of Nasrudin Zulkarnain, former president director of state-owned PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran. The Attorney General Office (Kejaksaan Agung) received a letter of notification about Antasari's status from the Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri).

According to the Head of The Center for information and Law on National General Attorney (Kejaksaan Agung) Jasman Panjaitan, friday (1/5), letter from the Indonesia Police Headquarters signed by Chief of detective and the Criminal Section Commissioner-General Sisno Duadji.

In the letter mentioned, to help ensure a smooth of the investigation, case notified to the Attorney General and KPK leaders that the National Police will make some forced call to Antasari. Antasari will be applied with Article 340 Book of Criminal Law about a premeditated murder. And Antasari stated as the brain or mastermind of this murder.

“One of the suspected masterminds in this premeditated murder case is Antasari Azhar,” Jasman said. He declined to give further details.

Jasman also said that the deputy for intelligence of National General Attorney, Wisnu Subroto, has issued a travel ban against Antasari Azhar.

KPK Arresting Abdul Hadi Djamal (The Member of Indonesia's Parliament)

One more, the member of Republic of Indonesia Parliament arrested by KPK or Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (Corruption Eradication Commission). Abdul Hadi Djamal, Politician from Partai Amanat Nasional was arrested by the KPK last Monday 2 march, 2009, carrying US$ 90 thousand and Rp 54 million. Beside him, KPK arrested Darmawati Dahore, offical of the Department of Transportation, and Hontjo Kurniawan, businessman. An unnamed source said that Hontjo gave Rp 2 billion to Abdul, and Rp 600 million to Darmawati.

In a press conference last Tuesday, KPK Chairman Antasari Azhar suspected that the money is related to the development of airport and seaport in Eastern Indonesia. He said that the three suspects shall be charged with violating the Anti Corruption Law Articles 5 & 11 regarding Gratuities and Article 12(a) & 12(b) regarding Bribery, with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Abdul Hadi Djamal, PAN politicians who sit in the House of Representatives Commission V, add a long list of representatives of the people who caught in hand of corruption involved. Up to now, there were, already seven board members deal with the KPK. Some other still in process on the attorney general and police headquarters. Unfortunately, the number of it will not be enough yet. Instead, it will very likely continue to grow.
