Typhoid Mary Strikes

I went to my step class this morning. I discovered I'm still a little weak. I tired out pretty quickly. I made it through the class, but had to stop a number of times to catch my breath or rub an aching muscle. I'm tired of being pathetic.

I found out I got the flu from the gym. Everyone was talking about it this morning. Apparently, it's going through the place like wildfire. And now, thanks to me, I brought to my place of employment. That's right. I'm the Typhoid Mary for this place. I apologize ahead of time if anyone succumbs. It's not a flu I'd ever like to have again. So I'm sorry.

I hope I have happier things to talk about soon.

Backache Burden

My back is killing me. The instructor of the step aerobics class I take has this move that's gonna break my back. I can't do it anymore. You have both feet on the step and then you alternately put your feet on the floor—straddling the step. My back is aching—especially the right flank. It's definitely muscular and not a kidney stone or anything. As soon as we started doing that move this morning, it was like, "That's it. That's why my back hurts."

OK. I'm going to try really hard to get the eating under control over the next week. I can't keep going like this. I've already drank half of day's worth of water. I brought foods that are good for me to have as snacks and for lunch.

I'm getting a handle on the things that I've kept buried and then dug up. I just need to let go. My life is about moving forward, not going backward.

I may take tomorrow off to rest my back, but I'm not sure yet. We'll see.
