Jessica has lost 140 pounds. She has lost all her weight naturally, without surgery, fad diets or diet pills. She says she was finally able to start losing weight "once I realized that being "fat" and being "me" were not the same thing.

Britain witnessed a lunar eclipse last weekend. Lunar eclipses have traditionally been seen as bad omens and, lo and behold, the very next day Take That were number one again.




Madame Tussauds has been bought by the company that owns Legoland. So, the makers of countless model people with shiny yellow faces with simplistic features that all look the same except for unrealistic interchangeable hair has been bought by Legoland.



Children as young as 11 could have their fingerprints taken to be stored on passports. Though with 11-year olds these days I just hope there’s enough room on the biometric chip to also store their weight, criminal record and how many children they’ve got.



A 54-year old woman in London desperate to become a mother has resorted to advertising on buses for an egg donor. I expect that she'll have triplets. It’s always the same – you wait ages then three come along at once.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) festival/conference/hipsterstravaganza starts this weekend! If you’re going, or just happen to be around Austin, TX for kicks or livelihood, make sure that you party with us on Sunday.

I found this and thought it was worth sharing, made me smile anyway. I was forced to sit through the whole movie by Adams mom (Helen) at Christmas, so I'm not complaining ;)

SOME AIMS FOR MY LIFE
I've been thinking recently that life & times ticking by and it feels I don't have much to show for it.
It's weird but when you move so often and you can pack everything up in 30 minutes into a few boxes its quite surprising what little you have for all your hard work and effort.
So I thought I should have some aims for my life and these are a few for me to focus on for now, as I achieve them I will happily share the story with you.
To write a book
To travel more of the world
To live instead of feeling like im just existing
To skydive
To meet more people and make more friends
To start my own business and see it through
To make a difference in the world
To learn to dance
To be more positive
To be financially dependant
To be a better person
To learn a language fluently
To get into the Guinness Book of Records

Well, its been ages since we’ve written much cos our broadband has been down – pretty much a whole month now – that’s caused a bit of unrest within the house as their was nothing wrong with the broadband we had in the first place, but hey ho, some just don’t seem to live and learn...

So, what have we been up to in the last week?

We went to have a look at a rock climbing wall close to my work that had been recommended by a few people... and we were really surprised by the size of it! IT’S HUGE! And it was packed. We aren’t allowed to climb on it without either doing a beginners course, or a refresher course to prove you know all the safety bits. Since we have both done a fair bit of climbing in the past the refresher course should be enough for both of us, but before they will let you book on it you have to prove that you can at least put on a harness and tie on correctly – they offered for us to do that bit there and then, but since Dade had met me in the bar at work first we didn’t really think either of us were quite up to the task!! :-p We will definitely be heading back at a later date.... once we have both remembered how to tie the correct knots!

Friday night I went to The Fratellis concert at the Carling Academy in Brixton. It was a birthday present from Ellen, so it was good to catch up with her and the concert was great! I’d forgotten how good live music makes you feel... who else is playing soon :-} ?

We haven’t been up to a lot else worth mentioning really as we have both been working weekends recently – Dade cos of his shift pattern, and me cos I’ve been waitressing at a local restaurant.

Oh and we both dyed our hair last night... but you will have to wait till we manage to get some pictures online to see which colours! In the mean time though, why don’t you try and guess....

Munnalita Kyrimis wants to get pregnant but she hasn't been able to conceive and she thinks her obesity may be the reason behind her infertility.

Munalita is one of the contestants on the Biggest Loser in Australia. Her starting weight on the show was 127 kilograms which converts to 280 pounds. She is 5 feet and five inches tall.

She's a hairdresser and becoming a mother has always been her dream. Her and her husband have already tried IVF for two years but her doctors have told her she really needs to lose weight to help her fertility and improve her chances.

Her infertility has made her more depressed and this has led to an even worse obsession with food. She says she eats an extreme amount of chocolate and is always thinking about food.

Munnalita has done really well on the Biggest Loser so far. In the first four weeks she has already lost 37 pounds.

We wish her the best luck and great determination for the rest of the show.
