Police arrest Singaporean for smuggling 2 kg of crystal meth
Jakarta Police announced Tuesday they had detained a Singaporean for allegedly attempting to smuggle 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine into Indonesia through Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.
On its website, the police said the suspect, identified as Dekasto Derick Jason, had been arrested in the airport's Terminal 2D at 8:20 p.m. on Monday.
From the X-ray check of his bag, the airport police officers suspected the bag contained drugs. After checking the bag, it was confirmed that Jason was attempting to bring 2,060 grams of crystal meth into Indonesia.
The case is currently being handled by the Airport Police.
